Haider Khan is South African/Kenyan photographer who spent the bulk of his life infatuated in the art of photography. His move to the United Arab Emirates in his late teens seems to have inspired a passion for cityscape. In the picturesque location, that is Dubai, Khan’s travels took him city wide, to find the best picture and claim that best shot. This passion coupled with a love for coffee, brewed adventures, entailing factories, espressos and high-rises. And while such passion indeed stays with him, Khan’s Kenyan side brought with it a certain obsession with wildlife. Far and wide the man journeyed, in the Maasai Mara, attempting to capture Africa’s best jewels on camera. In the plains of the Mara, Khan captured everything from the regal lion, to the wise, old elephant. Yet, even after three consecutive voyages, one beast would try it’s utmost to thwart him, the elusive, leopard. Through rain, dust and sleepless nights, this great photographer claimed his prize, as his lens lingered of the leopard. From the cities of the modern world and it’s everyday joe, to the vast grasslands of Africa, Khan has accomplished a lot in his time. The Lord only knows where his travels will take him next, but rest assured, his camera would forever be strapped to his side.
